YES - Young Enterpreneur School - is a forum for young, enthusiastic enterpreneurs who wish to hone their skills and widen their network. Rightly Inagurated on 15th August 2004 by Dr.Justice.AR.Lakshmanan, His Excellency, Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam visited on 27th August 2004. Founder chariman Shri.Neethi Mohan with his able set of YES Team have been spearheading this novel concept - which is the only organization for those who wish to attain greater heights in their area of interest.
Though late, better late than never, I joined YES on its 8th Anniversary. I was thrilled by the sincearity and dedication of these young businessmen. Meeting once in a month is ok for any forum. But attending the meeting attentively which lasts for 4 hours plus is not an easy task. But it happens only in YES - that too willingly. Audience are glued to the speaker. Concepts are simplified and communicated to reach the grass route level. Diverse subjects from marketing to finance to HR etc are covered in great details. YES is ready for any new novel idea and implements them at stroke of pen. And no doubt - there is lots of learning happening in every meeting.
I was stunned by the quantum of information shared - be it a book review or personal experience or solution to problems. Not many in the forum would be able to absorb these vital informations. The delivery was so fast and swift, if you miss the attention for a minute you are bound to miss it for ever. Ofcourse I was taking notes since Day One.
But having missed YES for past eight years, I enquired if the knowledge gained in the past - in its regular meetings or industry visits or international delegations have been documented. This information pool would be gold mine for anyone who wish to get clarity at any point of time. YES activities are published in Tamilnadu Chamber of Commerce website, but with limited information.
Having learned from the Everybody-Somebody-Anybody-Nobody story, I thought "Let me do it." Hence this blog was born on this Vijayadhasami day 24th October 2012. Now I have a commitment to attend each meeting and document maximum information I could gather (with my own limitations). This blog is from listeners perspective. No doubt I could have missed some information - which if the readers could notify, can be included.
Hope you find this Blog interesting, informative and as a useful referral point to which you can come back and get clarrified. Be generous to post your comments at the end of each article. Together - Let us make YESCLUBS Happen.
